The 9th International "Summer" School on Information Security and Protection will be jointly hosted by the Australian National University and the Defence Science and Technology Group. It will be held in Canberra, Australia, 9-13 July, 2018.

There is an increasing need for Software Security and Protection due to the growing sensitivity of user data coupled with the ubiquitous nature of computing systems ranging from tiny embedded devices to powerful data centres.

The International Summer School on Information Security and Protection (ISSISP) highlights this need by bringing internationally renowned speakers from diverse fields in Computer Science such as Software Engineering, Formal Methods, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, and Programming Languages.

In particular, topics to be covered include vulnerability detection and analysis, forensics, language safety and information protection. The summer school caters towards students and professionals from academia, government, and industry. Courses will include both lectures and hands-on sessions.
